5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Boom! The clock strikes midnight, and suddenly, it’s 2025. Amid the celebrations, I overheard countless resolutions—losing weight, traveling more, reading books – but something within me shifted.

As a new business owner, I’ve been meeting incredible people,

navigating diverse conversations, and constantly learning. Yet, I

realized I had been overlooking a critical aspect of my personal and

professional development: my public speaking and communication

skills.

Toastmasters has always been part of my vision, and in that

moment, I knew it was time to restart my journey. Not just for my business, but for my growth as a leader and communicator. It was a powerful manifestation, right as the year turned.

Filled with excitement, I reached out to Marcy to share this revelation, but of course, she

missed my call. She called me back, and I missed hers. When I finally connected with

her, she said,’’Preeti, it’s 11:11 AM.’’; It felt like a sign—everything aligning at just the

right moment.

Within a month, I took part in my first Table Topics contest, and that experience became a turning point. It underscored the importance of confronting fears, dedicating time to build positive habits, and committing to continuous learning. I was reminded that growth doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistency and courage, it becomes inevitable.

So, here I am, embracing 2025 with a renewed mindset – one focused on learning, growth, and pushing past limitations. Let’s make this year a journey of self-improvement, confidence, and progress.
