The Toastmaster Role
The Toastmaster is the emcee of the scheduled speech portion of the meeting. It is the Toastmaster’s task to introduce each Speaker and to introduce the Speech Evaluators.
The Joke Master
The role of the Joke Master is to find and present a suitable joke to the audience. It can be anything that will provide amusement and enable the audience to relax.
The Table Topics Evaluator Role
The role of the Table Topics Evaluator is to highlight effective techniques used and suggest improvements or other areas to explore for each table topic participant.
The General Evaluator Role
The role of the General Evaluator is to evaluate the meeting as a whole as well as all the participants that have not yet been evaluated by other evaluators.

The Timer Role
The Timer is to keep the meeting on time by tracking the speaking time of all participants during the meeting. Lights or backgrounds are used to indicate to members and guests when they are getting close to the end of their allotted time for speaking.
The Ah Counter Role
The purpose of the Ah-Counter is to note any word or sound used as a crutch by anyone who speaks during the meeting. Words may be inappropriate interjections, such as and, well, but, so and you know. Sounds may be ah, um or er.
The Grammarian Role
The Grammarian is responsible for introducing the Word of the Day to the audience, discussing the use of the language throughout the meeting and offering examples of good grammar and remarkable vocabulary.
Table Topic Master
Taking on this role improves organization skills, time management and facilitation skills.
The Topicsmaster delivers the Table Topics® portion of the meeting, which helps train members to quickly organize and express their thoughts in an impromptu setting.
